Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Discusses Meaning of Awaiting (Intizar) During Daily Scholarly Sesion

During another daily scholarly session of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi held in the month of Shawwal, the Supreme Marja discussed the important concept of awaiting (Intizar), as well as providing insights into the attendees’ questions regarding various jurisprudential issues.
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi spoke about the meaning of awaiting (intizar) and the duty of believers, especially the youth, during the time of occultation (ghaybah). He said:
“The meaning of awaiting is commitment to obligatory acts (wajibat) and avoidance of prohibited acts (muharramat). Whoever is most committed to these will be among the closest to our Master, Imam al-Mahdi, may Allah hasten his noble reappearance.”
He further emphasized:
“Therefore, whatever has been made obligatory or forbidden upon us, we must both learn it ourselves and teach it to others.”
He also stated:
“In addition to learning and teaching it to others, we must also personally act upon it.”
