Grand Ayatollah Shirazi calls on believers to focus on youth during holy month of Ramadan
The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, has called on believers to intensify their focus on the youth, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, due to the unique spiritual atmosphere of this month that makes souls more receptive to guidance and admonition.
In his remarks during this holy month, the Grand Marja emphasized the importance of seizing the opportunities available in this month to guide and direct the youth toward the right path. He affirmed that many young people, if shown the correct path, would follow it and could potentially become great individuals, even serving as a means of guiding others.
In this context, His Eminence cited several historical figures who, at the beginning of their lives, were distant from religion but later became among the greatest companions and followers due to proper guidance and a righteous religious environment.
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi explained that the holy month of Ramadan represents a crucial opportunity to bring about real change in society. It provides a distinctive spiritual atmosphere that helps solidify religious and human values. He called for leveraging this atmosphere to enhance awareness and faith, and to work toward confronting injustice and oppression.
His Eminence has consistently emphasized the importance of making the holy month of Ramadan an opportunity to build bridges of communication with the younger generations, highlighted the importance of utilizing the spiritual environment of Ramadan to promote virtuous ethics, establish principles of justice and mercy.
