Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi announces Friday as first of blessed Sha’ban – 1446 AH

The Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, has announced that tomorrow Friday, January 31, 2025, will be the first of the blessed month of Sha’ban 1446 AH.

In a brief statement received by Shia Waves Agency, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi ’s office said that, “Tomorrow, the 31st of January 2025, is the first of the blessed month of Sha’ban 1446 AH.”

The month of Sha’ban marks the blessed births of the Infallible Imams of Ahlulbayt, namely Imam Hussein and Imam al-Sajjad, peace be upon them, as well as the mid-Shab’ban pilgrimage—the birth anniversary of the Savior of Humanity—Imam al-Mahdi, may Almighty God bring forward his honourable reappearance.
