Canada: Imam Hussein Association promotes Shia teachings in Edmonton

Imam Hussain Association or Husseiniyyah is a Shia Islamic center established by the followers of Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) in Edmonton, Canada, with a purpose to promote Shia teachings in the region and beyond.

With the increasing participation of community members in religious rites and ceremonies, the members of the Islamic community of Edmonton decided to establish this center as hub to provide the basic facilities for holding Islamic and religious prayers and ceremonies.

After a long period of engaging in communication and negotiation with the servants of Ahlul-Bayt, peace be upon them, a statute and regulation were drafted and the members of the board of directors were elected in the general assembly.

Accordingly, the Imam Hussain Islamic Center, peace be upon him, supports and expands Islamic teachings and rulings in line with the Twelver Shiite school.

This association or Husseiniyyah is a charitable and non-profit organization and all its programs are supported through the donations and voluntary activities of the followers of Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them).
