The Arab League has renewed its call to combat Islamophobia and all forms of religious discrimination and hate speech, emphasizing the need to promote a culture of tolerance and interfaith dialogue amid rising global challenges.

In a statement marking the International Day to Combat Islamophobia on March 15, the League described the occasion as an opportunity to reaffirm international commitment to mutual respect and tolerance, while highlighting the difficulties faced by Muslims worldwide due to the spread of stereotypes and hate speech.

The statement noted that anti-Muslim discrimination has increased in recent years, particularly amid global crises and conflicts that exacerbate cultural and religious divisions.

The League urged all stakeholders to confront all forms of religious hatred and attacks on beliefs, and to reject any actions or rhetoric that distort religious images or discriminate against individuals based on their faith.

It also called for intensified international efforts to foster interfaith and intercultural dialogue, build bridges of understanding, and support initiatives that strengthen peace and tolerance.

The Arab League affirmed its continued commitment to advancing human values based on mutual respect and coexistence, aiming for a world free of hatred and discrimination, characterized by peace and understanding among followers of different religions and cultures.
