Thousands of pilgrims convene in Holy Alavi Shrine to commemorate martyrdom of Sayyidah Fatima
The Holy Shrine of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (peace be upon him) in Najaf al-Ashraf is hosting a large number of pilgrims who have come from all corners of Iraq and other countries around the world to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Sayyida Fatima (peace be upon her).
On this occasion, the news website of the Alavi Shrine announced that the departments and offices affiliated to the Holy Alavi Shrine have mobilized all their resources and efforts to provide the best services to the pilgrims who have come to this sacred place on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Sayyida Fatima, peace be upon her.
In this regard, Haider Al-Eisawi, Head of the High Commission for Organizing the Activities of the Alavi Shrine, said in a statement: The Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) has implemented an integrated plan for receiving mourners and has accordingly furnished spaces in al-Zahra Courtyard and Heydari Courtyard with carpets and rugs to accommodate the pilgrims and visitors.
He pointed out that mobile health centers have also been equipped with all the equipment and facilities to serve the pilgrims, and added: For cultural and religious purposes, the Al-Mohsin Center has set up a special mawkib to provide food and drinks as well as cultural services to the pilgrims and visitors at the entrance to the center of the holy city of Najaf. Also, the Religious Affairs Department of the Alavi Shrine has set up religious programs, mourning gatherings, jurisprudential lectures and stations to attend to religious queries.
Al-Eisawi continued: The Catering Office of Alavi Shrine is now providing meals to pilgrims and visitors 24 hours a day. According to a special plan implemented in this regard, spaces have been provided in women’s section to serve the mourning females.
