Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation continues regular sessions on its ‘Holy Karbala Vision’ project
The Holy Karbala-based Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development has reiterated commitment to complete its project ‘Holy Karbala Vision 2030: 50 Million Pilgrims during Holy Arbaeen’ which aims at introducing a comprehensive study of the infrastructure of Holy Karbala.
The director of the foundation, Abdul-Sahib Al-Kishwan, emphasized that “The Foundation has continued to hold its regular sessions to discuss its project, with participants of experts and government officials.”
He said that “the latest meeting was attended by the head of the foundation, Hujjat-ul-Islam wa-al-Muslimeen Sheikh Mustafa al-Mohammadi, the mayor of Holy Karbala Dr. Hussein al-Manqushi, director of Holy Karbala Water Department and other members.”
Concerning the water crisis and the holy city’s dire need of water stations, Dr. al-Manqushi said that “His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, has repeatedly stressed that number of pilgrims will exceed 50 millions in 2030, therefore, there must be urgent actions to provide sufficient amount of water to the honorable pilgrims to meet their needs.”
