Shia Muslims in Tanzania celebrate blessed birth anniversary of Honorable Prophet, Imam Al-Sadiq
The Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in the city of Dar es Salaam, the former capital of Tanzania, celebrated the birth anniversaries of the Prophet Muhammad and his grandson Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him.
Despite attempts to impose secularism in the city and erase its Islamic identity for political and economic goals, the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, revived this blessed occasion.
Media outlets followed by Shia Waves Agency reported that “this year’s celebrations of the Honorable Prophet’s and Imam Al-Sadiq’s birth anniversaries were attended by large numbers of Shia Muslims.”
They added that “the Shia participants—men and women—launched a massive procession in the streets of the former capital to celebrate this occasion, amid tight security measures to protect them.”
