Delegation from Syria-based ‘The Lady of Damascus” church visits Imam Hussein Holy Shrine

The minister at the Greek Catholic Church of ‘The Lady of Damascus’, Father Macarius Qalomah, and his accompanying delegation have visited the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and expressed their admiration of the spirituality and architecture of the holy shrine.

Qalomah said that “visiting this blessed place shows us the firm faith and compassion of the followers of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and that there is still goodness in the world.”

The church minister added that ”I was excited to visit the city of Karbala and the holy shrines it embracs. During our tour, we visited the museum of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, which contains rare and wonderful things that represent the history of this ancient city and the events it had witnessed.”

It should be mentioned that this visit is part of a delegation of guests of the Conference on Dialogue and Human Building, which was held in the city of Najaf under the auspices of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine. Muslim and Christian figures from Arab and foreign countries were in the visiting delegation.
