Red flag of martyrdom raised over dome of Sayyid al-Shuhada

At the end of the two months of lamentation, Muharram and Safar, the black mourning flag of the dome of the Holy Shrine of the Master of the Martyrs, Abba Abdillah al-Hussein, peace be upon him, was replaced with the red flag of martyrdom.

It should be noted that every year on the first night of the month of Muharram, the red flag of Sayyid al-Shuhada, peace be upon him, is lowered and a black flag is raised above the sacred dome of his shrine; an event which is covered every year by Imam Hussein Media Group live from Holy Karbala.
