Mumbai Husseini procession achieves resounding success

The Husseini procession launched in Mumbai to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, has achieved a resounding success; amid a wide participation of Muslims, Christians and followers of other faiths.

Local sources said in their reports, followed by Shia Waves Agency, that “The city of Mumbai witnessed the largest Hussein procession as thousands of Muslims, Christians and followers of other religions participated in the commemoration of the Holy Arba’een.”

They added that “The love for Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, has brought all of these people together,” noting that “Speeches and poetry were delivered in honor of this great occasion.

They reports continued that “This event is organized by Shia Muslim every year to recall the selfless sacrifices Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, had made and to remind the world of his humanitarian values and principles.”

They emphasized that “The Husseini procession was highly organized and that cold water and fresh meals were distributed to the mourners.”
