Canada: Shia loyalists organize Hussein procession to commemorate Holy Arba’een
A large Hussein procession was held in the Canadian city of Toronto – at Dunbas Square – to commemorate the Holy Arba’een of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
The procession was organized by the devotees of AhlulBayt, peace be upon them, both men and women and of different ages, chanting their eternal slogan of Ya Hussein to renew their pledge of commitment to his humanitarian sacrifices.
The organizers of the Husseini procession emphasized that “Every year the Husseini sorrow and grief are renewed to remind the world of the injustice and tragedies befell Imam Hussein and family, peace be upon them, and to spread his humanitarian values and principles.”
They added that “The procession attracted the attention of the passers-by and other officials in the area, who started asking to know more about its values.”
It should be mentioned that Shia Muslims around the world organized similar activities and processions in commemoration of the Holy Arba’een of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
