India: Scientific conference to be held to recall Battle of Karbala

The Indian official newspaper “Live Hindustan” has announced that the Tajdar-e-Karbala Scientific Conference will be held on the 21st of the current month of August to recall Ashura — the martyrdom of the Prophet’s grandson Imam Hussein, peace be upon them.

The Live Hindustan said in a report translated by Shia Waves Agency that “The scientific conference will be held at a Husseiniya in Kaushambi District in Uttar Pradesh by the local Islamic organization Anjuman Khuddam Muhibi Ahlulbayt.”

The report added “The prominent Sufi scholar, Sheikh Abu Sa’ed Shah Safawee, will chair the conference; while amongst the distinguished guests will be the scholar Mawlana Ubaid Allah Khan Azmi, Mawlana Zaki Azhari, as well as other academics such as Qasim Rohi, Sufyan Foloburi and others.”
