University of Kashmir conducts seminar to commemorate Imam Hussein’s Day

The Kashmiri official newspaper “Greater Kashmir” reported that a scientific seminar was conducted at the Southern Campus of the University of Kashmir as part of the commemoration of “Hussein’s Day.

The newspaper said in its report viewd by Shia Waves Agency that “The seminar, titled “Karbala Message for Humanity”, was organized by the Department of Computer Science in cooperation with the Department of Urdu language.”

The report quoted the President of the Southern Campus, professor Rais Ahmed Qadri, as saying in the opening speech, that “It is an honor for us to host this seminar about Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, who is a role model for all mankind, and his message of faith and patience that will guide us forever.”

Other key speakers at this seminar were Professor “Ghulam Nabi Kaki Sahab” and Dr. “Samir Shafi Siddiqui”, who spoke about the message of Karbala with a special focus on the principles of justice and peace and the love and brotherhood provided by this it teaches.

The newspaper pointed out that the prominent poet Dr. “Shabbir Maqami” delivered a poem in honor of this occasion, while Dr. “Abid Hussain Wani”, from the Faculty of Computer Science, thanked the attendees.
