Africa: Shia followers of AhlulBayt establish mourning ceremonies over Ashura
Large crowds of the faithful followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in Africa have established mourning ceremonies over the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
Shia Waves correspondent said: “The Kuwait-based committee of Sayyed Al-Shuhada, one of the centers affiliated to the honorable Shirazi Authority, intensified efforts this year in Africa, to widely commemorate the rituals of Ashura.”
He pointed out that “the International Committee of Sayyed Al-Shuhada, peace be upon him, has prepared various activities, as it raised the Husseini banner of sorrow atop the Ansari mosque in Tanzania in the presence of the representative of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslmeen Sheikh Mouled Hussein.”
He concluded that, “The African Shia mourners extended their heartfelt condolences to Imam Al-Mahdi, may Allah hasten his honorable, and his thanked the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, for his efforts to involve them in the commemoration of Ashura.”
