Activists Urge Muslims to Promote Prophet Muhammad’s Legacy Globally

Religious activists have called on Muslims worldwide to strengthen their commitment to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) by honoring his sacrifices and actively sharing his message with the global community, Shia News Agency reported.

The remarks came on Saturday during events marking the anniversary of the Prophet’s martyrdom, which is widely commemorated in Muslim communities. Speakers emphasized that loyalty to the Prophet entails not only reverence but also efforts to highlight his life and teachings to humanity at large.

According to the activists, the Prophet’s mission was universal and not confined to the Arab world, aiming to guide all people from “darkness to light.” They warned that divisions among Muslims today stem partly from oppressive rulers throughout history, who they say distorted the Prophet’s legacy and marginalized his family’s role.

They also condemned what they described as repeated misrepresentations of the Prophet in the West, attributing them to fabricated accounts and manipulated historical records. The activists urged unity among Muslims and stronger initiatives to defend and promote the Prophet’s true image.

Previously, senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Sadiq al-Hosseini al-Shirazi also underscored the need for Muslims to devote greater efforts to introducing the Prophet’s life and leadership to the wider world.
