Mid-Sha’ban Pilgrimage occupies front page of world newspapers
The global newspaper “Daily News-Record” published a photograph of the blessed million-person Shabaniya Pilgrimage as part of the “Top Stories” section worldwide on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
The newspaper published the image with a commentary, stating that the captured scene in the area between the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and sl-Abbas in the center of Karbala represents what it described as “a gathering of Shia Muslims, during the ongoing preparations to commemorate the annual religious event of the Shabaniya pilgrimage, which coincides with the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his reappearance.
It should be mentioned that millions of Shia Muslims from Iraq and other countries commemorated the blessed birth anniversary of Imam al-Mahdi, peace be upon him, in Holy Karbala, amid tight security and health services.
