Syria: Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi celebrates blessed birth of Imam Muhammad al-Jawad
A festive celebration marking the birthday of Imam Muhammad al-Jawad, peace be upon him, was held at the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Hosseini al-Shirazi in the Sayyeda Zainab area in Damascus.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of numerous Shia believers who gathered to express and listen to the virtues and merits of Imam al-Jawad, peace be upon him. Attendees participated in recitations of poetry and hymns in the Imam’s honor, creating a vibrant atmosphere of devotion and celebration.
Verses from the Holy Quran were recited by Sheikh Dhiyah al-Baghdadi and then the celebratory ceremony was opened by Ilyas al-Haji, followed by a speech delivered by Sayyid Khalaf al-Qasim.
Imam al-Jawad’s honourable birth is on the tenth of the month of Rajab of the year 195 AH. On this day, followers of Ahlulbayet, peace be upon them, hold joyful celebrations and ceremonies to offer their congratulations to the master of the time–Imam al-Mahadi–may Allah hasten his reappearance–and to the Islamic world.
