Najaf International Airport announces number of flights during Holy Safar

The administration of Najaf International Airport announced on Wednesday the number of flights and passengers arriving and departing during the period from the 1st to the 22nd of Holy Safar (1446 AH).

According to a statement obtained by Shia Waves Agency, the administration reported that “the number of incoming flights to the airport were 1,781, with more than 226,300 passengers arriving from various countries around the world.”

The statement also mentioned that “departing flights from the airport carried more than 186,017 passengers to multiple destinations worldwide.”

This surge in air traffic coincides with the significant increase in the number of pilgrims traveling to Holy Najaf during the month of Safar to participate in the Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
