Denmark: Muslims organize procession to mark Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage
The Danish capital, Copenhagen, witnessed a mourning march in commemoration of the Holy Arba’een Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
The Husseini mourning march proceeded smoothly with security arrangements in place and was attended by a large number of Shia Muslims as well as non-Muslims.
According to Danish media followed by Shia Waves Agency, the procession was organized by Islamic associations in Copenhagen as part of an annual tradition that has been ongoing for several years.
Local reports indicated that the procession included the distribution of food, water, and pamphlets in Danish and other languages, aimed at introducing the personality of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, and his message of freedom, equality, and resistance against oppression.
The participants carried Husseini flags and banners to show loyalty and commitment to Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and his humanitarian message and sacrifices.
