Holy Karbala hosts 8th International Scientific Conference on Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage
With the participation of figures and research from multiple countries, Karbala hosts the 8th International Scientific Conference on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage
The holy city of Karbala witnessed the opening of the 8th International Scientific Conference on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage today, Wednesday, with the attendance of religious and official figures, several scholars from the religious seminary, as well as religious personalities and a group of researchers and specialists from various parts of the world.
The conference director, Abdul Amir Al-Quraishi, told Shia Waves Agency that “the scientific committee of the conference received more than 148 research papers across various fields in its 8th edition, out of which 100 papers were accepted, including 81 from within Iraq and 19 from countries such as India, Malaysia, Italy, the Netherlands, Kosovo, Ireland, Bahrain, Tunisia, Germany, Belgium, Japan, Lebanon, and Iran.”
Al-Quraishi added that “the conference aims to shed light on the value system of the Arbaeen community and encourage open dialogue on cultural and social issues to promote peaceful coexistence and cultural integration.
The director continued that “the conference also focuses on the importance of using modern technology to improve services provided to pilgrims and studying the phenomenon of the millions of pilgrims.”
Al-Quraishi pointed out that the conference topics varied, covering disciplines such as the humanities, pure sciences, and the sociology of the Holy Arbaeen, with a special focus on topics like crowd medicine and the management and security of large crowds.
