Shias in Madagascar continue to hold Husseini mourning ceremonies

Followers of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, continue to hold Husseini mourning ceremonies in the city of Mahajanga, Madagascar, in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

These ceremonies coincide with the sacred days of the Holy Arba’een Pilgrimage, which marks forty days after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and his honourable companions.
