Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: Serving pilgrims of Imam Hussein is an irreplaceable opportunity and a source of divine reward
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, described serving the pilgrims of the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), as an exceptional and irreplaceable opportunity, emphasizing that this service is acknowledged by Imam Hussein and is rewarded by Almighty God.
In remarks published on the official website of his office, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stated, “Congratulations to those who serve in the gatherings of the Master of Martyrs, peace be upon him, and endure hardships along this path.”
He affirmed that everything related to Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, is exceptional and surpasses others, addressing the Hussaini servants by saying that their acts of service to the Imam are recorded in their books of deeds, and that Imam Hussein is aware of every detail, no matter how small.
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi also addressed the people of Karbala and Iraq in general, saying, “You live in the sacred land of Karbala, near the pure shrine of Imam Hussein and his brother Abul-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon him. This is a great blessing and favor from God upon you.”
“You are engaged in serving the Imam and his pilgrims, while many people around the world wish to come to Holy Karbala to be honored with his visitation.”
