Shias of Thailand urge their government to coordinate with Iraq for easier access to Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage
A large group of the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them in Thailand expressed their eagerness to join millions of believers in commemorating the Holy Arba’een Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in the holy city of Karbala.
The Shia citizens called on their government to establish communication channels with the Iraqi government to facilitate their travel to the city, particularly during the Holy Arba’een Pilgrimage.
These appeals were made during mourning ceremonies held by faithful Shias in the city of Kanchanaburi as the Arba’een Pilgrimage approaches.
In press statements followed by Shia Waves Agency, they mentioned that “Shias in Thailand are eagerly longing to visit the sacred shrines in Iraq and participate in the blessed Arba’een pilgrimage.”
They emphasized that “the Shia citizens in Thailand are ready to make significant sacrifices to achieve their dream of participating in the Arba’een Pilgrimage, which is one of the five signs of a believer as affirmed by the infallible Imam, peace be upon him.”
