Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation launches ‘Pilgrim’s Chair’ initiative to help pilgrims with special needs
The Holy Karbala-based Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development, one of the humanitarian organizations affiliated to the office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, has launched its ‘Pilgrim’s Chair’ initiative, which aims at assisting the elderly, people with disabilities and the sick to reach the holy shrines.
The foundation’s director, Abdul Sahib Al-Kishwan, told Shia Waves Agency that “The Foundation launches its “Pilgrim’s Chair” initiative every year as part of its service and humanitarian activities during the Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.”
Al-Kishwan explained that, “The foundation has prepared a large number of wheelchairs to help those unable to walk to reach the holy shrines,” noting that “a number of younger believers have volunteered to carry out this humanitarian mission.”
