Iraq: Ya Zainab Route in Tuz Khurmatu hosts first central Husseini Mawakib and Procession
For the first time, the Iraqi city of Tuz Khurmatu witnessed the launch of a large central Mawkib to serve the pilgrims of the Holy Arbaeen of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, along the “Ya Zainab” route, which passes through the city.
This Mawkib was established by merging several smaller service units to provide comprehensive and diverse services to pilgrims coming from various countries, including Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Iran, as well as those traveling from northern Iraq towards the holy city of Karbala.
A few days ago, Tal Afar in Nineveh Province hosted the first Hussaini festival organized by the service units and Hussaini organizations to prepare for the first Arbaeen Pilgrimage march.
Under the title “The Pilgrimage March on the Ya Zainab Route from Tal Afar to Karbala,” the festival gathered a large Hussaini presence, amid tight security measures to ensure the safety of participants.
The march aims to strengthen the spirit of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, embody his values, and broaden participation in the religious rituals associated with the Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
The journey from Tal Afar to Karbala carries a special historical and spiritual significance, as it traces the path taken by the family of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, during their painful journey after the tragedy of Karbala.
The Mawakib and activities along the “Ya Zainab” route symbolize the connection between the values of Imam Hussain and the solidarity with hundreds of thousands of pilgrims arriving from different countries to commemorate Arbaeen. All forms of support and services are provided to ease their journey to Karbala.
