Imam Ali Holy Shrine launches multilingual electronic guidance app to serve Arbaeen pilgrims
The Lost Pilgrims Guidance Centre, a unit affiliated with the Security Maintenance Department, in cooperation with the IT Department at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, has launched the “Lost Pilgrims Guidance” app as part of early preparations to provide various services to Arbaeen pilgrims.
Mustafa Jabbar Mohsen, a representative of the centre, stated in a press release followed by Shia Waves Agency, “The newly launched version is a technologically updated and enhanced version of the previous program. It differs from the past version with several key features, most notably the ability to report and search for lost visitors, whether during regular visits or the massive Arbaeen Pilgrimage.”
Mohsen added that, “Other technological additions in the app include a visitor guide with tips to avoid getting lost, interactive maps containing more than 15 services for visitors, directional maps, an electronic hotel guide, and access to booking services for the visitors’ hospitality and proxy visiting. Additionally, there are features for reporting and searching for lost items.”
The app is available in four languages—Arabic, Persian, English, and Urdu—to serve pilgrims from different nationalities and linguistic backgrounds. It will be operational during regular days, major pilgrimages, and throughout the year.
