Holy Karbala Municipality announces readiness for Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage
In preparation for the upcoming Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage, the Karbala Municipality has announced its comprehensive plan to ensure the best services for visitors and maintain public cleanliness throughout the holy city of Karbala.
Engineer Hassan Al-Shuraifi, Director of Karbala Municipality, stated in a press release monitored by Shia Waves Agency that “the department has fully mobilized its resources across its eight sectors, in addition to various divisions such as the gardens division, the workshop, machinery, environment, projects, and planning.”
The official emphasized that the municipality is working diligently to serve the visitors and preserve public property, with a focus on maintaining cleanliness throughout the province, adding that a large number of cleaners and volunteers have been deployed, with intensified efforts during peak days of the pilgrimage.
Engineer Malik Salam Baqir, head of the Electrical Maintenance Division, confirmed that “the division’s staff is working on maintaining the illuminated signs and light installations that highlight the beauty of the holy city, calling on Hussaini Mawakib to refrain from interfering with electrical wires in gardens and public squares to avoid legal consequences and to adhere to municipal regulations.
These measures are part of the Karbala Municipality’s efforts to provide a clean and safe environment for visitors during this significant occasion, which sees a large influx of pilgrims from around the world to commemorate the Holy Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
