Pakistan’s Minister of Information: Imam Hussein’s sacrifices give us important lessons

Pakistan’s Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar, emphasized the importance of Imam Hussain’s sacrifice and its significance for all of humanity, stating that great sacrifices are necessary for great causes.

In a statement reported by The Express Tribune and followed by Shia Waves Agency on the everlasting commemoration of Ashura, Tarar said, “The tragic event of Karbala teaches us that no tyrant should ever be allowed to distort the truth.”

He continued, “The courage, patience, and wisdom of the companions of Imam Hussain, peace be upon them, serve as a beacon of light for the entire world,” noting that “the battle between right and wrong continues today, and the spirit of self-sacrifice embodied on the day of Ashura is more necessary than ever.”
