Imam Hussein Holy Shrine begins preparations for Ashura rituals

The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has begun preparations for the Tatbir ritual and the eternal Twairij Run by covering the entrances of the holy shrine with sand to facilitate the movement of participating mourners and to avoid stampede.

According to the Department of Maintenance, specialized employees covered the entrances and gates of the holy shrine with sand, as well as the gates overlooking the area between the two Holy shrines, to facilitate the movement of millions of mourners on the tenth of Muharram.

It should be mentioned that millions of mourners from Iraq and other world countries will participate in the Tatbir ritual on the morning of Ashura, and after the noon prayers; they will perform the Twairij Run, a ritual representing a response to the great call of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, on Ashura, “Is there anyone to help us?”.
