More than 1,000 orphans repledge allegiance to Imam Ali on Ghadir Day
More than a thousand orphans in Holy Najaf participated in a massive march organized on Sunday by several organizations in the holy city to repledge their allegiance to Imam Ali, peace be upon him, on the blessed occasion of Ghadir Khumm.
In a statement followed by Shia Waves Agency, Haider Muhammad al-Kaabi, head of the Publications Unit at the Al-Muhsin Center for Children’s Culture affiliated to Imam Ali Holy Shrine, said, “This event is one of the distinguished activities we hold because it instills joy and happiness and reinforces religious and moral values in the hearts of the orphans.”
He pointed out that “the orphans raised bouquets of flowers and flags, and chanted slogans in honor of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali, peace be upon him, on the occasion of the Greatest Eid of Allah,” confirming that “the orphans expressed their overwhelming happiness in participating in this march, which reflects the significance of this day in their hearts.”
