Imam Ali Holy Shrine preparing to observe Eid al-Ghadeer

Intensive preparations are underway at the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in Holy Najaf to observe Eid al-Ghadeer Eid, the Greatest Eid of God.

According to officials at the holy shrine, the event will witness the organization of programs and events to mark the occasion, including raising the Ghadeer flag in 20 locations across Iraq.

The head of the committee, responsible for organizing events and ceremonies at the Holy Shrine, Haider Al-Eissaawi, stated in a press release that meetings were held to prepare for raising the Ghadeer flag across Iraq and to discuss challenges faced in previous years.

The ongoing preparations to raise the Ghadeer flag on the 18th of Dhu al-Hijjah highlight the significance of this great occasion and demonstrate obedience to Allah’s command through His Holy Prophet at Ghadeer Khumm appointing Imam Ali, peace be upon him, as his successor and caliph after him.
