Dhu al-Qaida 1st marks blessed birth anniversary of Sayyidah Fatima al-Masumah, peace be upon her

According to the traditions and historical documents, Sayyida Fatimah al-Masumah, peace be upon her, was born on the first of Dhu al-Qaida in the year 173 AH, and her brother, Imam Reza, peace be upon him, gave her the title al-Masumah. Her grandfather, Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, conferred her the title “Karimat-O-Ahl ul-Bayt” even before her birth.

Her blessed shrine in the holy city of Qom welcomes millions of pilgrims every year.

Sayyidah Fatima al-Masumah, peace be upon her, the beloved daughter of Mawla Musa bin Jafar, peace be upon them, opened her eyes to the world on the first day of the month of Dhu al-Qaida in the year 173 AH, 25 years after the birth of Imam Reza, peace be upon him, in Medina.

Both Sayyida al-Masumah and Imam Reza were raised in the pure lap of a mother named Najma Khatun, who was one of the immigrants from the Maghreb.

Their most honorable father was imprisoned by Harun Al-Rashid for a significant period of time, and finally, in one of these prisons, when Sayyida al-Masumah was ten years old, he was martyred. From that time on, Sayyida al-Masumah was under the care of his honorable brother Imam Reza.

Her name is Fatima, and in addition to al-Masumah and Karimat-O-Ahl ul-Bayt, Tahira, Hamida, Berrah, Rashida, Taqiyya, Razia, Marziyeh, Siddiqa, Muhadditha, and ‘Abidah are among the attributes and titles given to her Majesty.

In a tradition attributed to Imam Reza (peace be upon him), it is said: “Man zaar al-ma’soomah bi qom kaman zarani”, whoever visits al-Masumah in Qom, it is as if he/she has visited me.

The sublime spiritual station of her Majesty can be deduced from a phrase from her famous Ziyarat script stated by Imam Reza, peace be upon him: “O Fatimah, intercede for me in Paradise, for there is a special position for you in God’s realm”.

In terms of science and hadith, Sayyida al-Masumah, peace be upon her, like her mother Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra, peace be upon her, was ‘alemah and muhadditha. Also, just as Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra, peace be upon her, established the righteous Wilayah of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, with solid and sound arguments, she, too, revived this legacy.
