Shias prepare to observe tragedy of Al-Baqi Cemetery on 8th of Shawwal
Shia Mulims around the world are preparing to commemorate the tragedy of the destruction of the holy graves of the Infallible Imams in Al-Baqi Cemetery in Holy Madinah, which were destroyed at the hands of Wahhabis and Salafis.
Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, have expressed their deep sorrow and condolences to the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, on this heinous crime committed against the the holy graves of Ahlulbayt.
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, condemned the atrocious crime and emphasized the demand for their reconstruction by all Muslims.
In a statement published on his official website, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said: This blatant violation against the Imams’ holy graves is still there as long as Al-Baqi Cemetery is not reconstructed yet.”
His Eminence affirmed that “this state of weakness can only be remedied by removing its tragic effects, which is to rebuild the holy graves of the Infallible Imams of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.”
It should be mentioned that Mulims across the world will commemorate the tragedy of the destruction of the holy graves of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, on the 8th of the current blessed month of Shawwal.
