Muslims and Shias worldwide celebrate blessed Eid al-Fitr
The holy city of Karbala in Iraq, as well as other holy cities in Iran and Syria, witnessed the observance of special religious rituals for Eid al-Fitr, amidst prayers for goodness and peace to spread across the world on this joyous occasion.
Shia Waves correspondent reported: “Muslims, including the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in various parts of the world celebrated Eid al-Fitr after days of blessings and goodness in the holy month of Ramadan.”
The holy shrines in Iraq, Iran, and Syria, along with honourable Shia shrines, mosques, and Hussainiyat around the world, witnessed the Eid prayer ceremonies with a large attendance of believers.
The holy city of Karbala saw thousands of visitors participating in the Eid prayer between the two holy shrines. The crowds then performed pilgrimage to Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them, before heading to pay respects to their dead ones in Wadi al-Salam cemetery.
The believers and visitors of these sacred cities in Iraq expressed their happiness at the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, praying to Allah Almighty for goodness and peace to spread across Iraq and the world on this great occasion.
