Shia community looking forward to rebuilding 40-year-old masjid in Utah, USA

The Shia community in Taylorsville, Utah, are looking for financial support from the government and donors during the holy month of Ramadan to rebuild Al-Rasul Mosque and its Islamic center, and to protect it from earthquakes that are frequent in the city.
According to Utah’s news agency “Sltrib”, Al-Rasul Mosque and its affiliated Islamic center are considered the second home for the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and a place where they gather and perform their sacred rituals since 1984.

The center is run by members of the Iraqi Shia community who have successfully turned a former church into a mosque and an Islamic center, becoming a second home for all Shia community members.
Community members are trying to raise between 3 to 5 million dollars to complete seismic upgrades, improve structural safety, and preserve the architectural elements of the building to ensure that it remains open to believers for the next hundred years.
