Shia followers of Ahlulbayt continue walking towards Holy Karbala to commemorate Mid-Sha’ban Pilgrimage
Large crowds of Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, from various Iraqi provinces continue their walk towards the holy city of Karbala to participate in the commemoration of the mid-Sha’ban pilgrimage—which marks the blessed birth of Imam al-Mahdi, may Allah Almighty hasten his honourable reappearance.
Correspondents of Shia Waves in Iraq reported that “huge crowds of committed Shia Muslims, especially youth, continue to walk on foot towards the holy city of Karbala.”
They added that “the processions will commemorate the million-person pilgrimage on the mid-Sha’ban” explaining that, “The honorable pilgrims are from various Iraqi provinces.”
They pointed out that “several Iraqi provinces will announce official holidays to allow pilgrims participate in this great visit, where they repledge their commitment and allegiance to Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.”
It should be mentioned that the holy city of Karbala is preparing to host millions of pilgrims from inside and outside Iraq to commemorate the mid-Sha’ban pilgrimage at Imam Hussein and Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas Holy Shrines.
