Security sources said that the explosion occurred on Friday evening when the worshipers were about to finish the evening prayer in the Bayt al-Salah Mosque in Narayanganj province, which is about 25 km south of the capital Dhaka.
According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred due to the accumulation of air conditioner gas in one of the pipes below the mosque.
