Mexican TV network releases detailed report on Arabeen Pilgrimage
The Mexican “TV Azteca” published on its official website a detailed report on the massive numbers of pilgrims heading from the southernmost point of Iraq towards the holy city of Karbala.
The report, translated by Shia Waves Agency, said that “Shia pilgrims will walk for about (600) kilometers from the city of Faw, located south of the main seaport of Umm Qasr, heading to the holy city of Karbala to participate in the commemoration of the Arabeen Pilgrimag.”
The network’s report listed a set of information about this Pilgrimage; such as the reasons and stages of its launch throughout Islamic history, in addition to the huge amount of free services and hospitality provided to millions of visitors coming from inside and outside Iraq.”
The TV Azteca, the second largest TV network in the Republic of Mexico, said that “the vast majority of the nationalities of foreign participants in the Arabeen are Lebanese and Pakistanis, as well as Iranians, who are expected to be between (3-5) million pilgrims to the holy city of Karbala this year.”
