A Bahraini Shiite cleric, Sheikh Jamil Al-Baqari, was arrested by Saudi security agents during the Hajj rituals this year, television network reported.
The report indicates that the cleric of the Bahraini caravan was arrested because he recited the prayer for the “deliverance” of Imam Mahdi, peace be upon him, and shared the video on social platforms.
The video has ever since gone viral, in which Al-Baqari can be seen along with the caravan of Bahraini pilgrim women who are performing Sa’i between Safa and Marwa with identical orange shawls.
It should be mentioned that Sheikh Jamil al-Baqari does not have any history of political activity.
