A court in Libya sentenced 23 people to death and 14 others to life imprisonment on charges of membership in the ISIS terrorist group.
A statement by the General Prosecutor’s Office of Libya says that a verdict was issued against these individuals on Monday, June 8, by the “Masrata” court of this country.
This was the first group of 320 accused members of ISIS who were tried and convicted. In 2015, this group carried out an attack on the luxurious Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli, after which dozens of Christians were beheaded.
