Climate change threatening world’s largest natural freshwater reservoir
In its latest report, the United Nations once again warned that if red lines are crossed, the current state of climate change will put humanity at risk of extinction.
Secretary General Antonio Guterres issued warning messages during the three-day World Water Conference held in New York, while pointing to the danger of melting glaciers in the Himalayas, located in South Asia.
The Science magazine has also warned of the risk of losing 26% of the total ice mass in the world.
