Shia followers of AhlulBayet continue their walk towards Kadhimiya to commemorate martyrdom of Imam Musa al-Kadhim
Large numbers of Iraqi pilgrims continue their walk towards the capital, Baghdad, to commemorate the painful anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) in holy city of Al-Kadhimiya.
The Imam’s martyrdom anniversary is on the twenty-fifth of the month of Rajab, in which millions of pilgrims from inside and outside Iraq participate.
Correspondent of Shia Waves Agency reported that “thousands of Iraqi pilgrims have been continuing their march for several days towards the capital, Baghdad, to commemorate the painful Pilgrimage of Rajab.”
He confirmed that, “Mourning processions and service tents are spreading along the way to provide food and drinks to the honorable pilgrims.”
Security forces have laid plans ahead of the pilgrimage to maintain security and to provide emergency assistance.
It is worth mentioning that every year from the 20th to the 26th of Rajab al-Asb, the week of commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Kazim (peace be upon him) begins, as millions of the Shias and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) go to the holy city of Kadhimiya commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Al-Kadhim, peace be upon them.
