Honorable House of Supreme Religious Authority in Qom hold mourning ceremonies over martyrdom of Imam al-Hadi
Amid an atmosphere of sadness and sorrow, the honorable house of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi in the holy city of Qom, commemorated on Wednesday the painful tragedy of the martyrdom of Imam Ali al-Hadi (peace be upon him), which coincides to the third day of the month of Rajab.
Correspondent of Shia Waves Agency reported that “the house of His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, commemorated the great tragedy of the martyrdom of the tenth Imam of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), Maulana Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon him).”
He continued, “The mourning ceremonies were held in the presence of His Eminence, and a gathering of scholars, clerics, professors and students of religious sciences, and other believers.”
The correspondent added, “His Eminence, the Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, expressed his great condolences on this tragic anniversary that befell the entire Islamic nation.”
He explained that “mourning ceremonies were held in the morning in Persian and in the evening in Arabic,” noting that “the honorable preachers Ahmad Pur, Al-Jazairi and Al-Ahmadi Al-Kashani spoke about the biography of Maulana Imam Ali Al-Hadi (peace be upon him).”
