Imam Hussein Media Group and Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development, affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority, have begun distributing quantities of meat to needy and poor families in the holy Karbala.

The Director of the Social Welfare Department at the Foundation, Abdul-Sahib al-Kishwan, said that this initiative comes in conjunction with the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his reappearance. 

Al-Kishwan added that the aim of the initiative is to help lift this pandemic from the Shias, pointing out that another campaign will be launched to provide food baskets to those in need in the province.
