Stories of Afghan refugees and their suffering showcased by the Islamic Museum in Qatar

The Islamic Museum in the Qatari capital (Doha) witnessed the opening of an exhibition dedicated to Afghan refugees, depicting their suffering after their evacuation and their liberation from the oppression and killing they are subjected to at the hands of terrorist movements in their country.

The museum, entitled ‘Travel’, is held from October 23 to January 24, and sheds light on the experiences of Afghan refugees and their tragic stories in light of the Taliban’s domination of power in their country.

The organizers of the exhibition affirmed their constant concern and firm stance on supporting the Afghan people and their right to live in dignity and achieve reconciliation and peaceful coexistence among all its sects and components, without exclusion or discrimination.

They added, in press statements, which were followed by Shia Waves News Agency, that “the exhibition is a clear embodiment and adaptation of the arts in expressing the suffering of peoples and raising their issues, especially the Afghan people, who suffered greatly during the past eras, and still have the right to express their cause and work to achieve their aspirations.”
