International Nonviolence Organization calls on the Tunisian authorities to release prisoners of conscience and journalists
The International Nonviolence Organization (Free Muslim) called on the Tunisian authorities to release prisoners of conscience and journalists.
It stated in a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, that the organization received human rights reports and press releases indicating that the Tunisian authorities have arbitrarily arrested some journalists and opinion-holders, which raises condemnation.
The organization called on the Tunisian authorities to desist from some tyrannical measures represented in trying to silence mouths and confiscate opinions, especially since the current regime came on the ruins of a resentful dictatorial regime that has plagued the Tunisian people for decades.
The organization stressed the need to release all prisoners of conscience in Tunisia and those who are detained on a political background, stressing the importance of consolidating a culture of democracy and acceptance of the other opinion.
