Large crowd of mourners participate in the launch of Bani Amer mourning procession from Basra towards Karbala

The mourning procession of Bani Amer started from Basra province with a unified mourning procession towards the holy city of Karbala on the occasion of the massive Arbaeen Pilgrimage.

The procession witnessed the participation of large crowds of Shias of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, from the elders, youth and clerics in a foot march from the far south of Iraq towards the holy city of Karbala, where the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, is located.

The procession includes many condolence and service activities, to offer condolences to the family of the Noble Prophet, peace be upon them all, on the occasion of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

Several days ago, millions of pilgrims from inside and outside Iraq set out towards holy Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen Pilgrimage, amid a wide security, service and health alert.
