Exhibition of “Migration in the Footsteps of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny)” opens in Saudi Arabia
The Ithra Center for World Culture in Saudi Arabia inaugurated the first exhibition of its kind dealing with the topic of the Prophet’s migration in a contemporary style, which is hosted in the center’s great hall, under the title “Migration in the Footsteps of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny).”
The exhibition witnessed a high-level presence of officials, researchers in Islamic art and history, intellectuals and guests from various countries of the world, at the opening, which began with a welcome program and an introductory tour of the exhibition, which will start its activities at the Ithra Center and will last for 9 months to tour (Riyadh, Jeddah and Medina) and then a number of cities around the world.
The exhibition aims to shed light on one of the most important events in Islamic history, which is the journey of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, in 622 AD, from Mecca to Medina, which led to the birth of a society that today includes more than 1.5 billion Muslims.
The exhibition provides visitors with a rich experience, through which it addresses the knowledge gap in the subject of the honorable Prophet’s migration and highlights the deep-rooted legacy of the Arabian Peninsula and enhances the local content industry in this context, in addition to making the story of the Noble Prophet’s migration accessible to the public, as well as shedding light on it for world cultures.
