International Research Center: Shias are constantly targeted by terrorist gangs
The International Research Center (Borealis Threat and Risk Consulting) recalled the terrorist bombing incident that Shia Muslims were exposed to on the eighth of February on 2009, during their performance of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage to Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in Karbala.
With the passage of 12 years since the incident, Shias are still vulnerable to targeting by militants and takfiris, according to what the Center indicated in a new report it published on its website and followed by Shia Waves.
The center said: “One of the important and interesting aspects of Shia Islam is the concept of the Twelfth Imam,” noting that “those who embrace the Shia sect and believe in the Hidden Imam have always been persecuted and killed by extremists and takfiris.”
It added that “the hostility towards the Shias continues and is unabated, and those who seek to commemorate the rites and commemoration of the Karbala massacre are still targeted by the terrorists!”
